I went for a run along the banks of the Thames this morning, right through central London. Fabulous views, enough to get the most hardened coach potato out of his chair.
I was going fine until an old bloke overtook me, he wasn’t going much faster, but he was much older. My ego cut in, I chased him, caught him, overtook him, took a sharp left turn away from the river, and, when he was safely out of sight, stopped.
Running, it is all in the mind.
- If you believe you can do it you might just be right.
- If you believe you can’t do it you most certainly are.
All you need is belief, a sense of purpose and a bit of practice.
